Geeky Geekerton

Neal Stephenson has an op-ed in the New York Times today about Star Wars and geekiness. It's actually a fairly sound analysis of the problems of the newer Star Wars, and explains why diehard Star Wars fans like these pieces of shit, and the more casual fans among us realize it.

Like most Stephenson, however, it starts out really cool and then falls apart when he starts performing fellatio to the tech-savvy. In this case, the Jedi are geeks. Believe it or not. But the first page is worth reading.
