Star Me Kitten
In my posting about the joy that is Nellie McKay, I put an asterisk* next to iTunes, without, um, going back and saying whyfor. Nobody called me on it, but that's more because nobody reads this than that y'all are idiots.
I have taken to pronouncing Apple products eeTunes or the eeMac, because I keep noticing that generally, in non-western languages, the 'i' at the start of something tends to be pronounced 'ee' instead of 'eye'. Like 'eeraq' instead of 'eye-raq'. Or the I Ching, which is transliterated as the 'yijing' these days. So why not apply that the eePod?
