Suspect Authorities
I'd like to call your attention to the subheadline from
this article. It says: "Bomb Tears Through Commuter Train Near Chechnya, Killing 36; Authorities Suspect Terrorism"
No shit, sherlock. If someone is bombing civilian trains, that's terrorism. But the fact that the Associated Press needs to make this distinction is somewhat telling. It makes it plain that, to the American media, terrorism is not the killing of civilians for political gain. Terrorism is the killing of civilians by a specific group of people, usually done with suicide bombing. That group of people, is, of course, Muslims.
It's the little things like this that show that the War on Terror is a war on Islam, no matter how much the official word says it's not. And that, I think, is the reason, that most Americans supported the war in Iraq.
